MISS UNIVERSE FRANCE 2012

Marie Payet, Miss Reunion 2011 and 2nd runner-up at the Miss France 2011-2012 competition, will represent France at the Miss Universe competition in Las Vegas, USA, on December 19th.

The official announcement was made by the president of the Miss France committee, Sylvie Tellier. Marie comes from Saint Denis. She is 20 years old and stands 178 cm in height.

Reigning Miss France Delphine Wespiser is unable to attend the international contest since the date clashes with the national finals of Miss France 2012-2013, to take place in Limoges on December 8th. According to Miss Universe organizers, the contestants will be in Las Vegas from December 2nd until the 20th.

Recently, Miss France 2011-2012 3rd runner-up Solene Froment (Provence) competed successfully in the Miss Supranational pageant in Poland, where she placed in the semi-finals.
